Shallow bowl made from dark colored stoneware with two concentric feet, a slightly curved base and straight sides. The vessel is decorated in an off-white glaze, dipped in dark brown at a dramatic angle. It is further decorated with a white volcanic drip glaze. The piece is marked with a simple “W” in a heart-like shape. Approximately 10 inches diameter, 1 ½ inch tall. Condition is good with some small chips at the lip of the bowl. The base of the bowl has some small cracks from the firing process, these cracks don’t go through the whole piece and are only visible on the bottom of the piece.
