Two large stoneware serving platters with a matte black glaze, decorated with contrasting glossy black glaze triangles and a slightly ribbed surface of concentric rings, giving them a rustic, handmade feel.
The platters were produced by Treasure Craft in their Los Angeles factory. They are decorated in Pfaltzgraff’s pattern Midnight Sun, first produced in 1990. Pfaltzgraff bought their rival, Treasure Craft in 1988 and began using their factory to produce tableware in Pfaltzgraff’s existing lines.
The platters measure 16 inch diameter, 2 inch height and 13 ¼ inch diameter, 1 ½ inch height respectively. They are both in very good vintage condition with some slight surface wear consistent with age and use. No cracks, chips, crazing or other defects.
