Large glass compote decorated with images of blades of grass or leaf clusters that repeat around the edge of the bowl. A smaller version of the same design appears around the foot. An ornate fern-leaf design is cut into the sides of the bowl and lid, in addition to the simpler pressed pattern. The pattern is #327 commonly known as Marsh Fern and was introduced in 1889 by Riverside Glass.

The compote measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall, 8 1/4 inches diameter at the rim, 4 3/4 inches diameter at the base. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, flea biting. Some light scratches consistent with age and use.
