American

Large shallow drum shade. Fawn-colored fiberglass parchment, banded on top and bottom with gold-colored metal. The shade is further decorated with airbrushed black triangles and abstract, raised, gold lines. The shade has mounts for either a central finial or set on top of a glass diffuser. The spider mounts are spaced to allow it to atop a diffuser 6” to 7 ½” in diameter.

This is a very retro 1950’s floor lamp shade. It has instant mid-century appeal and being neutral in color, can compliment a variety of palettes.

Condition is very good. Frame is true and round. Brass supports show little signs of wear and do not show signs of oxidation or other corrosion. Fiberglass parchment is in good condition with no significant tears, burns, creases, cracks. There is one small stain on the shade and two small tears (see photos.)

Frame is approximately 18” in diameter, 8 ½ inches tall.
