Adjustable brass desk lamp with hooded shade and heavy weighted base. Two adjustable hinges, one at the base, one at the socket with thumbscrews. This lamp was manufactured by Faries who produced industrial light fixtures through the 1910s-1920s in Milwaukie, Wisconsin. The lamp is listed in a 1922 catalog of Faries lamps and was likely produced around that time.

In fair condition with most of its original parts, including original No. 27 shade. At some point in its life, someone replaced the socket, socket sleeve and cord. The cord has a simple on/off switch in addition to the push button switch on the sMaximum height is 25 inches, the adjustable tube is 12 inches long, base is 5 ½ inches diameter, shade is 6 ½ inches diameter, cord is 5 feet long.
